Rodeo season is fast approaching. Rulebooks are being printed and will be mailed out or picked up at the membership rodeo in Pampa, Texas May 29 & 30. Please read the new 2010 rule book. If rules are not followed, fines will be applied in 2010. If you do not attend the membership rodeo and have already purchased your 2010 card, your rulebook will be mailed.
Contestants: Before rodeo season gets in to full swing, please remember the new rules. You MUST know your card number and anyone else’s card number you are entering. CASH only at all approved TCRA rodeos. Some producers may accept checks but please know their check policy before you try and give a check at one of their rodeos. Remember you must have purchased a current TCRA card three (3) days prior to the first performance or slack for your money to count at that rodeo. You can purchase a card at the rodeo but your money will not start accumulating till the next weekend.
TURNOUTS: You must notify the TCRA office or the rodeo secretary if you are turning out to avoid a fine. If you need to draw out prior to the rodeo, you have 24 hours to draw out after the books close but you must contact the TCRA office to draw out.
Slack: Definition of rodeo slack is an over flow of contestants in a performance. Slack is only if the performances fill. Contestants please DO NOT call in 10 minutes after the books open and ask for slack. If you plan on entering the slack, slack will open 2 hours before the books close at all rodeos. To fill performances positions will be drawn out of the slack entries to fill performances. Be prepared. You may have to call back to see if you are entered in the performance or slack if the performances do not fill.
Rodeo Listings: The rodeo list is growing slowly but as soon as the approvals come into the TCRA office they will be posted on the Internet.
Sponsorships: As usual, please HELP your Director attain donations for the finals in your event. Sponsor packets can be obtain through the TCRA office or ask your Director.
Co approved Rodeos: If you enter and can’t go you will have to pay your fees. You must notify their office if a doctor release and/or vet release (barrel racers only) is used.

If someone is not on the current list and you are planning to use them at your rodeos this summer, please contact Alan Hennigh. There is a fine for using unapproved judges and fine will be enforced in 2010.
