The Board of Officers and Directors met in Amarillo, Texas January 29th. Finals dates have been set for November 4-6 in Vernon, Texas. Due to major conflicts with either the college rodeos, TCRA rodeos, or other big events the board chose the first week in November. The board discussed earlier dates for the finals but there were conflicts with events already scheduled at the Wilbarger County Event Center. The Board is certain there will be conflicting events no matter when the finals are set; however, the Board anticipates the November dates to be acceptable for the majority of the members. There will be an awards banquet Sunday morning at the building located behind the arena, a mandatory meeting Saturday in the grand stands, and check-in for contestants will be between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm Friday at the arena. As we get further into the rodeo season, there will be more current information about the finals.
Cowboy Times Magazine: Cowboy Times is provided with your membership dues, so to keep current with news and rodeo dates it is time to renew your TCRA membership.
Send $125.00 to the TCRA /P.O. Box 1287/ Stinnett, Texas 79083. A membership application is located in the Cowboy Times or one can be printed from the Internet site located at www.tcrarodeo.com. A TCRA membership can be purchased with a credit card, check, or cash.
Membership Rodeo: Neither the date or location has been set.

Special Events: Once again, the Board feels the special events help to
generate early income to the Association. Each Event Director is authorized to
either approve or not approve a special event that pertains to their event.
The
current 2011 Special events will continue through May 2011 and will resume the
first of October 2011. There will be no special event approved on the weekend
of the TCRA finals. Any money won during October will not count towards the 2011
standings but will activate the 2012 standings.
2011 Contestants: If slack follows the performance and the performance does not fill, a member will have priority over a non-member for slack.
